By accessing or using Behavioural Engines ("the platform", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
Behavioural Engines is a simulation platform for formal behavioural economics models. We provide tools to run, inspect, and compare models grounded in the academic literature.
The platform is offered on a tiered basis — Free, Plus, Pro, and Lifetime — with differing daily simulation limits, model access, experiment allowances, and export functionality. Current limits for each tier are published on the pricing page and may be adjusted over time.
Paid tiers may create experiments: shareable surveys that present respondents with choice tasks and estimate behavioural model parameters from their answers. Plus accounts may hold up to 3 experiments; Pro and Lifetime accounts have no fixed limit. Allowances may change and are enforced server-side.
As the creator of an experiment, you are responsible for how you distribute its survey link and for obtaining any consent or ethics approval your institution or jurisdiction requires before collecting responses. Respondent participation is voluntary and anonymous; you must not use experiment titles or distribution channels to collect personal data about respondents.
Fitted parameters and insights generated from responses are provided to you for research, educational, and internal purposes. They are statistical estimates, not psychometric diagnoses, and must not be represented as such.
Accounts are managed via Clerk. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. We are not liable for any loss arising from unauthorised account access.
Pro subscriptions are billed via Stripe. Monthly and annual plans renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Lifetime plans are a one-time purchase.
You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
You agree not to:
The platform, its code, models, and content are the intellectual property of Behavioural Engines. The underlying academic models are attributed to their original authors and are used for educational and research purposes.
The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Simulation outputs are computational estimates based on formal models and should not be relied upon as professional advice. We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any results.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Behavioural Engines shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform.
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be communicated by email.
